Domicile was derived from the Middle French word (of the same spelling), which in turn was derived from the Latin word Domicilium.

Our name is a portmanteau of the words Modern and Domicile.
Modern was derived from the Middle French word Moderne, which was derived from the Late Latin word Modernus.
Modern is defined as;
"Pertaining to the current time and style".
Domicile was derived from the Middle French word (of the same spelling), which in turn was derived from the Latin word Domicilium.
It is defined as;
"A formal word for home or residence".
